He was quick to lift his gaze from book the moment when a new presence made itself known in the room. Elam, his personal servant boy, had insisted on getting Narsus a replacement after he’d granted him leave to visit his parents in Ecbatana, saying how Narsus couldn’t do anything on himself , how he wouldn’t be able to last a week and would starve to death in the woods. This, while being true, Narsus had denied it in attempt to save his pride.
But he’d let Elam find himself a replacement nonetheless.
Amethyst eyes scans the man, imprinting every feature he has in mind. They would have to get along for half a year, and Narsus rather enjoy his new company while it last.
