Boyfriends, a wholesome self-indulgent webcomic about four guys navigating a polycule together with kind of cringe comedy (/pos) written by an actual trans ace man getting bullied off the internet for literally no reason and Helluva Boss, the most poorly written piece of media I have ever seen in my life with forced/poor representation of queer people written by a straight women who is openly transphobic and fetishizes gay men in her shows being praised as "positive" representation is exactly why I will never trust the internet on media opinions when it comes to queer content.

I will literally never forgive the internet for what they did to refrainbow and his webtoon. people harass this man because his webtoon was a little cringe. and now I will never be able to read my comics about silly little gay boys in peace without someone being like “ohhhh!!! that’s problematic!!!!” bro let queer people write shit that doesn’t have an inherent message, we need trashy comfort content

I picked up the manga version of ‘Boyfriends’ recently and I am a little astounded by the hate it has online,,, it’s cute, silly even, but also very healthy way to show polyamory.

Not every source of gay media needs to end in tragedy and have something horrific happen to the characters. Yes please feed me more lgbtqia+ cheesy romance stories 🫴🏻

I fucking love the Boyfriends webcomic. That comic was there for me when no one else was when I was closeted in college and GOD DAMNIT I won't let anyone tell me it's problematic. It's cutesy and gay and I like things that are cutesy and gay. I don't care what the creator did on Twitter when he was like 12 years old I DONT CARE.
