reminder that some people are actually nice in the world: today i was sitting in a parking lot and my car battery had died and wouldn't start and right when i was turning the key and finding out that it was dead, these guys had parked a few spots away from me and the driver of that car noticed my struggling and we made eye contact so i half jokingly asked "you have cables?" and he pulled his car around and plugged it all up.

i love when strangers are nice when they don't have to be. he totally could have blown me off and went off with his friends and made me sit in that parking lot until someone else came by, but he didn't. he didn't expect anything. he was just being a genuinely good person.
