#Guitar shopping today at @12fretguitar, #Toronto. Here's a constant dilemma for me: to buy or not to buy a interesting "mongrel" #vintageguitar at an affordable price? This #Telecaster is a real mix: the body is from 1959 and it has been #refinished. The bridge is a '58. The neck and neck #pickup are from '67. The bridge pickup is a #SeymourDuncan. The neck has been #refretted with incredibly huge frets (like as big as bass frets!). There is an extra string tree that has been added. The asking price is $4375 CAD (~$3200 USD). Is it worth it? At one time in my #guitarcollecting life I would have said yes, but now I'm not so sure. Sure, it is affordable (relative to an all original '67 #Tele for example, it's about half price), but it'll be probably be difficult to resell. MAYBE...if it was an exceptional player...but it's a really tough call. At this point in my collecting carreer it's not right for me...but I could see how it would appeal to others! If you would buy it, tell me why. #fender #teletuesday #fendertelecaster #vintageguitars #guitars #vintagefenders #fenderguitars #guitarshopping #guitarphotography
