In the evening Aatrox had cut through the Demacian troops that crossed his path with ease. A foolish band of soldiers in the wrong place at the wrong time. Their flesh would sustain him, but it was this same mortal flesh that weakened him and forced him to find a place to retire for the evening.
He knew he should travel further away from the scene of his massacre. More mortals would surely arrive in search of the missing troops and in his tired state he wondered if he would be up to facing them... or if they would manage to force him back into his sword. He slunk to a nearby cave nonetheless, eyes closing and willing unconsciousness to take him.
The sound of footsteps roused Aatrox from slumber and the light of dawn washed over him. Eyes ablaze with inhuman malice fell on the unlucky soul who disturbed him, “You approach doom incarnate, girl. Tread closer... embrace oblivion.” The sword at his back pulsed; Aatrox’s eyes narrowed.
