We don’t do restorations in this place,” Laura explained, her usual calm voice carrying a tone of annoyance. This man had been in the shop for a solid twenty minutes now, trying to get her to buy his old furniture that didn’t even really look like furniture anymore. Even now after she explained it for the fifth time, he still wasn’t giving up and now wanted to speak with the manager of the shop, a request that made Laura’s blood boil immediately. “If you want to speak to the manager, you’re in luck because she’s standing right in front you. Now take your trash and get the hell out of here before I decide to call the cops on your ass.” With that, the man finally gave up and turned to leave. Laura sighed in relief before she turned her attention to another customer who was in the shop and watching the scene. “Sorry ‘bout that. I swear I don’t talk to everyone like that but that guy really tried me,” she explained, then smiled at the other. “Can I help you with anything?”
