“Legalize It”- Peter Tosh

Peter Tosh, originally Winston Hubert McIntosh was a member of the 60’s trio The Wailers. The band included famous artist like Bob Marely and Bunny Wailer. Peter wrote hit songs like “Get Up, Stand Up” and “No Sympathy”. When Peter went solo in 1972 he debuted this song, “Legalize It”. As a devoted Rastafarian, Peter Tosh believes that marijuana heals the nations. It aids the understanding of life, the universe and god himself. Have a listen!

“10 Feet Tall”- Fat Freddy’s Drop

This 7 piece band has been around since 1999. They make anything from soul to techno, dub to reggae and much more. This eclectic band caught my ear for the day so I’m excited to share what I found! If you are into easy going reggae then you will adore “10 Feet Tall”. Off of their new album Bays, “10 Feet Tall” is the perfect song to listen to while starting your day or taking a load off at the end. It’s a very happy-go-lucky reggae song that will just put you in the greatest mood. Take a listen!

"Suite: Judy Blue Eyes" - Crosby, Stills, & Nash ?"Armada Latina"- Cypress Hill

One day I was listening to this song by Cypress Hill and I was so in love with it. I always have a thing for songs with multiple genres in it. While listening to the song on YouTube someone in the comment box was talking about how this wasn’t an original song. So I went and searched for the song that they sampled hoping to find something as great as this. And I did. Released in 1969, Crosby, Stills & Nash made a song that was rockish but it wasn’t until the end of the song (6:19) that you hear the original sample that Cypress Hill used. Regardless of them sampling the song, both of the songs are great in different ways. Check it out!
