After arriving with Caeda at the med tent, Tibarn takes a moment to receive some healing for the burns from his battle before taking a look around. Sure enough, Edelgard is here, looking... certainly worse for wear than she did when he spoke to her after the first round.
Well. Perhaps she truly ran into a fearsome foe, or perhaps she learned the hard way that confidence and overconfidence are only separated by a very thin line. He doesn't know. But either way, if he's learned anything of her by now, she will learn from that experience.
"Well, it's fine. This is just a mock battle, after all. Best it happen now than during a real thing," he smiles. "Besides, I hear the Black Eagles did win, so congratulations! It looks like your ideas and tactics worked out."
She loathes the thought of being a house leader who is not standing tall with everyone else. It is against her very nature. Still, there is certainly a point to be had with Tibarn's words. If her match has been met, she must work to reach even higher. As as her boots became muddied and the axe slipped from her grip, the princess had seen the value of versatility.
"That is true. I've been shown the urgency and decisiveness of my every move. Were this a true battle, the outcome may have very well differed." Even when faced with a personal loss, she will not allow her words to falter. She cannot afford to do so nor does she hold any desire for it.
It's a nice sight, she thinks— The reds and blacks of the Black Eagles house encompassing Gronder Field. This time, the victory isn't shared. It is theirs and theirs alone. An eagle soaring high above the rest, lions and deer forced to look upwards. This won't be the last time Gronder Field is graced with the pride of an eagle. She's positive of that.
"Thank you. However, I must thank you, as well. I was able to witness your talents for myself— You were quite a mighty force. The Black Eagles were lucky to have you as an ally, even if only temporarily." She scoots herself forward in her seat, quirking an eyebrow in expectance of a promising response. "There is a celebratory feast tonight in the dining hall. I hope to see you there."
