thinking about whole calling eros a good puppy and eros is so so excited that they start bouncing and wagging their tail... whole petting them and saying that they're a good puppy, they did a good job, He's proud of them... and it's all they've ever dreamed of. whole says they can rest, they've earned it. and they nuzzle against him, finally allowed to rest in His arms. allowed to be safe. to be enough.

as a preschool kid I hated switching tasks and would actively throw stuffed animals at the daycare workers if they tried to get me to leave the library before I finished reading my book. I got in trouble so many times for tossing stuff and throwing fits if they interrupted me because I'm the only one who can decide I'm done

anyways. agere mind would absolutely do this. HE decides when it's naptime

+ petre is essential to the soul fragments and their journeys. when the catalyst for their tortured existence is never having the time to breathe or destress, always having to be the one to solve problems and push their distress down to fix everything... being able to let go of responsibility and be taken care of through pet regression is very very important in their healing process
