There were probably a few people a bit more qualified to train new order members, even if it was only background stuff, but Paulie would gratefully take the assignment. It’d be a chance to work with Greta and Regulus, both people she adored and she’d complain about getting extra time with either of them. Plus maybe a friendly face would make the transition easier, and Paulie plenty knowledgeable about how things worked if she did so herself. The blonde scurried around the room to prepared it, making sure was clean and that the resources they’d need to cover were all easily accessible.

It all seemed ready, now she just needed her two new partners in anti-crime. she wasn’t sure if they’d be coming with Moody or Alice, or if they were even just left to their own devices given directions they could use to find themselves there. She guessed as daunting as that last one would be, it’d get them to know the route better and they’d have to come to the Order house by themselves soon enough. Just as she was going down the rabbit hole of how they’d arrive she heard a noise that caused her to bring her attention to the doorway. “ Oh, hello, did you get here fine? ” She started before even turning to check who it was, it’d be embarrassing if it wasn’t them or at least one of them, but she could apologize to an order member easily.

It’d had been early, not an unreasonable hour, but she had to make sure she woke up before Regulus. He wouldn’t be too pleased if he found out she’d stayed and slept on the couch when she said that’d she go after a “disagreement” of where she should sleep if she stayed over. It’s just he was the one who’d had a lot going on for him in the last few days, he was the one that deserved the comfier place to sleep in her opinion at least. Paulie folded the blankets she’d used, set them on the arm of the couch, and placed the pillows back into their places before walking into the kitchen.

Originally she walked into the kitchen with the intent to have breakfast made when Regulus woke up, a kind thing to do and probably distract from the fact that she was here so earlier. Maybe he’d believed she’d popped in to help him adjust to it all, she highly doubted that he knew how to make breakfast for himself. Rich muggles had private chefs, and rich wizards had house elves which the ethics of were not great on that, but it’d meant that Regulus probably had very little experience in doing things for himself. However, with that realization and the fact she didn’t know what he’d want Paulie decided to just make tea, she knew how he liked that, and when he woke up she’d show him how to make whatever he’d want to eat. Maybe she’d stay around and help him do the same for lunch and dinner, she wasn’t working today and it wouldn’t be so bad to go over all the basics.

When Paulie heard stirring from Regulus’ room she determined he’d probably be out soon and jumped up from her seat to grab his tea from the counter. It had a warming charm on it, of course, she wasn’t going to wake him up with cold tea. It was always the thought that counts, but no one really wanted to drink cold tea no matter how thoughtful. “ Good Morning, I’m not a robber I just thought-” Paulie had called, turning to find Regulus had been in the kitchen now and he could see her and was also probably close enough she didn’t need to be loud.  “Oh! Hello, you moved a lot faster than I thought you would, here.” She said taking a few steps towards him extending her arm to give him his tea. “ Like I was saying, I just thought you might need help with breakfast, well cooking generally so here I am.”

A stately looking owl taps it’s beak on the window of the flat Remus and Sirius’s flat the morning of March 14.  A package hangs from it’s beak.  On the package is a note.  The owl waits regally for Remus to untie the package and the note before blinking at him twice and taking back off into the air again.  The note reads: 

Remus —

I’ve been doing some reading and I read that this could be helpful.  If it’s not, I’ve enclosed as well a list of books I thought might interest you.  Outside of Britain, it’s a bit easier to find this sort of thing.  Most of these you’d likely need translations for.  I don’t know if this is — helpful — or not but I thought it might be.  If you need anything, well, I’m not sure how I could help but I’ll try.

Inside the package were a few things.  The first, the book Remus had been looking for when he and Regulus had first run into one another in the bookstore.  Second, a list of books and potions, all with the same theme.  Most were English translations of foreign texts, explaining why they were so hard to find in English bookstores.  And third, a couple of bars of Regulus’ favorite Italian chocolate. 

Remus was wary of the unfamiliar owl on the windowsill, and did not open the package until he had scanned the contents of the letter. He blinked, reading the letter through again three times. He frowned, then hesitantly opened the package. 

The book had proved too expensive for Remus to pick up that day, and he turned it over in his hands eagerly. The list was something else that he would examine in more detail later. He limped back to the sofa slowly, book and chocolate in hand, and laid back down with a wince and a sigh. He opened a bar of chocolate, unable to stop himself from smiling faintly, and opened the book.
