“Stop being foolish, Regulus.”  Severus looked at the younger boy, his face neutral, but serious.  He wouldn’t be making the effort to talk to him were it not for Narcissa.  Severus had come to appreciate the witch.  She was poised, intelligent, and would make it out of this war in tact.  That all would be true, Severus reasoned, if she wasn’t dragged down by those around her.  Regulus was one of them.  He had become careless, even for him.  “Paris is distracted with a personal matter now, but he won’t be for long, and the first thing he’s going to notice is your attitude.”

Stubby sat, one hand drumming on the table in front of him, the other shifting uncomfortably in it’s sling.  Now that the remainder of the tour had been postponed, Stubby didn’t feel quite so guilty for the time he was spending in and around London.  Officially, he would need to remain in the area for a while in order to allow the specialists at St. Mungos to monitor his healing arm and hand.  While a part of him was concerned about his ability to play guitar the same way, the other part of him was glad for an excuse to stick around.  

If he was going to stay, however, he needed to have a few more connections in the wizarding world than just the loose network of celebrities he knew and the girl he was flirting with.  So he reached out to the few new faces he had met since the group had played their London show.  One such face was Regulus Black.  When he saw the other enter the room, he waved him over with his good arm, grinning. 

“Thanks for meeting me.  I’m trying to get my lay of the land while I’ll be here for a while and you seemed friendly enough at that pre-cup bonfire.”

Thank you London! Have one hell of a night!  His final farewell was still ringing in his ears as he left the makeshift greenroom tent, a toothy grin on his face.  He’d been hesitant about taking a gig that wasn’t announced, but their reception on stage had been amazing.  The energy of the partying group had been electric, and Stubby felt on cloud nine. Not to mention, he’d already met a host of new folks around wizarding England, including a ‘bird’ he couldn’t wait to happen to run into again.  

It was thought’s of running into someone that he realized he hadn’t been paying attention where he was going, and he ran smack into another person. “Merlin, sorry...” Reflexively, he held the shoulders of the man he’d run into to steady them both.  Looking up, his face burst into a toothy smile.  "Woah, how the hell have you managed keep that on your face so well?  We’ve been trying to figure out how to update our look but the makeup always sweats off before we’re halfway done with practice.”
