bonnet I would like you to know that my mom and I were discussing her sourdough starter today and what to name it (we name our yeasts/cultures—the last one was Gertie) and Jesus was suggested (because both he and the bread “rise again”—the bread because she is trying increasingly convoluted ways of letting it rise so it rises when baked) but the name was shot down because she felt her friends would not understand it. Lazarus was also suggested, because it goes in a dark, enclosed space for periods of time (and he also “rose again”) but we eventually settled on “FT-FT”, which stands for “Feeding The Five Thousand”, because many loaves of bread will come from this one starter. Our wordplay game is evolving (I labeled the jar with a piece of masking tape)
