Over the winter holiday, she had traveled to Australia alone to try to return her parents to their previous state. They were beyond the point of no return. They would never remember that they had a first daughter. Memory charms were a fickle thing, she had told herself bitterly over and over again. Most days, she focused on being grateful that she hadn’t subjected Spencer to one. It helped, when she was hyperventilating alone in the bathroom at Hogwarts. He wasn’t there to hold her hand, but she knew that he was safe and that his memories were complete.

Criminal Minds 3x16 “Elephant’s Memory”

This episode is actually killing me. I’m a huge Reid fan, so this entire episode, which is largely centered on him, targets my emotions. First it was the support meeting that he attended about Dilaudid and how his cravings were starting back up again. Then it was how he reacted to Owen and what he confessed to Morgan, about being stripped naked and tied to the goal post. Finally, it was how he talked Owen down at the end of the episode. It really made me appreciate how much Reid has been through and how strong he really is. He went through years of bullying at school, dealt with having a schizophrenic mother and an absent father, saw horrors at the BAU, survived being held captive by a serial killer with multiple personality disorder, and beat a drug addiction. If you ask me, he’s one of the strongest members of the team, if not the strongest. I fucking love Reid so much.
