" you don't want to live in a society like this, yet you don't want to do anything about it! " maybe he's critquing the cheerleader too harshly, but lucas is just plain sick of highschool and all the nuances that come with it. all he wants is to spend the next four years without the looming threat of some asshole trying to pick a fight with him over nothing, but his future promises nothing of the sort. there are people like chrissy, people who have power, who could actually dismantle the stupid social hierarchy in place at hawkins, but they don't — because it benefits them, and people like lucas are stuck being the butt of every joke. real fair. " look, all i'm saying is you can't really complain about this stuff when you're dating the king of popularity. you could change things if you wanted to — you just don't. "
miss moon came for me on all fronts with those memes!!!!! cjdnjgfgnfdj i asked....but did not expect to receive such a bounty of misery. <3 thx babes.

" no. ” she is stubborn to say the least. not even [ @reignedchime ] chrissy was immune to her bitterness. the glasses , where as they did help with the strain her eyes now went through daily , not only were uncomfortable on her face , but a silent reminder of what all he stole from her. already max had heard the whispers at school upon her return. and she didn’t need the glasses to see the looks. so why add to the already free show by wearing what might as well be a sign right on her face ? " i’m not wearing them. ”
max always had hoped one day she would get the chance to go back –– to feel the sand under her feet while the sun soaked into her now pale skin. but her life , how things seemingly played out for as long as she could remember , it made that dream near the size of the sand she so desperately wanted to see. and i guess you could say max grew to accept that. california was her past and that chapter was sealed. but that was before chrissy cunningham came to her with a grin larger than she’d ever seen the cheerleader wear and the two tickets in hand. this was a prank. luck , it was never on max’s side and yet … clear as day her name was printed on one of those papers. to say she was excited was a clear understatement. after everything that had happened in those years living in hawkins , she was finally returning home. if even just for a trip –– it was still home.
“ you’re gonna love the beach. ” she spoke in a tone so full of pure , unrequited joy that sounded even to herself strange to hear. when was the last time she was this happy ? it –– thinking back , it had to be before her family broke. before her dad spent more time at the office and her mother with random men she met at the bars. oh ho that felt a lifetime ago to think back on. fingers pull at the clothes messily packed in her suitcase in the sunlit hotel room. “ i remember the best spot to go to , you can see the ocean for miles. ”

❛ i don’t want to let go. i’m not ready to say goodbye yet. ❜
God, she was both the funniest and sweetest lil thing after one too many hits from the bong. Her giggles wafted through the trailer while she unsuccessfully attempted to paint his nails a colour he called eggplant purple, but she absolutely insisted it was grape purple, and they'd bickered about it on and off for a good twenty minutes until he eventually let her have the win just because grape soda was one of the soda kings, and eggplants were plain gross.
All the talk of food inevitably led to the munchies setting in. And being that kind of guy, ya know, a stoner. Eddie was always prepared with a stash of candy. If Chrissy had loved him before, then she sure as hell did when presented with some Reese's Pieces. He wondered if she might cry for a moment, but she hugged him instead, giving him a noseful of floral notes; Chrissy always smelled nice.
They sat together on Eddie's bed, stuffing their faces with peanut butter chocolate and coming up with a Reese's Pieces jingle between them that he'd completely forget come morning. But the night was nice while it lasted, he hadn't felt so at peace for a long time, and there would be no nightmares when sleep hit him a few hours later. Things were better with Chrissy around in every single way imaginable.
"What's up, babe?" Doe's eyes widened in concern when Chrissy suddenly stopped. She was staring into her pieces bag with a vacant expression. Eddie's heart lurched, his mind instantly clawing at memories of Vecna. But as he went to grab her smaller frame, she finally looked at him sadly and said she only had one Reese's Piece left. I don't want to let go. I'm not ready to say goodbye yet! Panic attack evaded. Eddie smiled, far from in the mood to scold her for scaring him like that. "Alas, fair, Chrissy. The joy of candy is only temporary," he paused, rolling his head to one side. "Buuuut, we can always make a quest for some more candy, right? The Queen has a right to delicious peanut butter and chocolate goodness." Then, as if she'd never been sad in the first place, Chrissy beamed at him excitedly, and all was well again in their little bubble kingdom.

@reignedchime // MEME.
do-yun isn’t naive enough to believe that a bright smile for the cameras or a bubbly personality means that behind closed doors things were just as peachy keen. everyone has their own private lives and private pasts that they don't put on display, especially for the whole world to see. but, he can't help the way he breathes a soft 'really?' when she starts opening up about what her life has been like in and out of the spotlight.
" did getting famous make everything better or worse for you ? or, i mean-- i guess things aren't so black and white. but, do you regret becoming, like, an international pop star ? "
