Seth’s been having trouble sleeping. It’s not he’s scared of another horde of Rogues coming through his house, it’s that now that Emme’s been put into the direct line of fire, he feels guilt for his cut. It’s one of the few times he’s ever thought that. The other times were when he’d disappointed his mother, time and time again. It weighs heavy on him, even if he didn’t directly cause anything. Seth had told the Rogues he wasn’t interested in betraying the Club and he’d meant it, even if it might mean more power. Rubbing a hand through his hair, sitting at the bar of Fortuna, where he’s staying for the night. With the way things went down the other night, he decided to make the drive for a free night in his own hotel, away from his house that’s still in some disarray.
He wanted to commiserate in peace but obviously that’s too much to ask when he hears Reina bitching about the flowers on the bar— not that she would’ve known if they’d been Gerber Daisies for the last few months or not, considering she’s rarely there. “Calm the fuck down,” he says from his barstool. “The order got messed up. It was either that or we ain’t havin’ flowers at all. But you’d know that if I wasn’t runnin’ the place myself,” he reminds her. “Don’t wanna hear it,” he sighs, wiping his tired eyes.
