A letter in the mail.

Today, a letter arrives in the mail, bearing no distinctive markings except for its age. It is years old, yellowing and dusty, and dated wth today’s date. On the parchment inside is written, ‘Hello? Are you sitll there...?’ Underneath the sharp, italicised script is a stain, something black and indistinct.

Enclosed in the letter is a stem from some plant, dried with age. The petals of the flowers were once white, but are now desicated and yellow, and stained with the same dark substance.

              he doesn’t expect it --  gentle stroke of fingers across the stranger’s arm bring forth a heat dove recognizes all too well.  it must burn this other being,  like it had burned the demons dove exorcises.  this man . .  was not a normal human being --  he held evil inside him,  and the divine powers manifested within dove coiled at the contact.  the exorcist flinches,  pulling his hand away as he looks at the other with bright eyes.  “  you --  you are not human.  ”    @reincarneth​   ♥

Making her way down the sidewalk, Flora peeks over her shoulder. Not long after she left work, a man started following her after she left the bookstore. Even though he keeps slinking in and out of the shadows, he wasn't very careful, and Flora was able to spot him. Of course she is going to be extra careful of her surroundings at night.

Looking around the area, most businesses are closed. But it looks like there is a convience store just up ahead. Maybe she can get him to leave if she goes in there. Looking at her phone, Flora pulls up her grocery list she made the other day. Before an annoyed noise escapes between pink lips.

"Crap, forgot to get something yesterday." Making her way across the street, after checking both ways, she ducks into the convience store. Saying hello to the cashier so they know she is there, she makes her way along the aisles. Making sure the door is still visible, she checks if he followed her in - but it seems he didn't. Ducking her head, she browses while she tries to figure out what to do.
