Visionary : The Pop-Up Museum
“We hope to start 2016 with you surrounded by art” was an opening toast by Olmo and Floor for ART Y.Z. part WEST on the 8th January 2016 in our modest ClubHouse, the Headquarter of Street Art Museum Amsterdam.
This exhibition gathers works by upcoming Brazilian artists who participated in Visionary's pop-up museum in Rio de Janeiro in 2015.
During the opening Visionary hosted a panel with museum entrepreneur Erik Schilp, producer and director Anna Stolyarova (me) and educator Robin Vermeulen of Imagine IC about museums of the future, co-ownership and sustainable pop-up museums.
It was lovely to see in the audience an eclectic mix of local residents, SAMA crew, artists, students and teachers of Reinwaldt Academy and UvA, as well as their parents, and the guest of honour, AnneMarie de Wildt of Amsterdam Museum. Fotos are here: www.fotovanmanon.blogspot.nl
It was even more inspiring to find the international publications covering the event highlighting the work of Flavio Emanuel who promised to drop by Amsterdam this year!
We are opened every day from 10:00 - 17:00, have coffee and snacks!, and this amazing exposition running until 6 February 2016!
