First Steps
The car rolled over to the mansion where she would be residing in for who knows how long, all that Crypton told her is that this would be her new home. Letting out a sigh through pink lips, she grabbed her suitcase and carefully stepped out out of the car. She dusted off her coat and brushed pink strands out of her face. Her crystal eyes looked up to inspect what her "new home" looked like, it was quite grand, she didn't really like it. She had always been one for simplicity. Thanking the driver with a warm smile, she rolled her only suitcase over to the main doors. She shoved the invitation letter into her pocket and let out yet another sigh. As she walked nearer, she grew both excited and scared. 'Who's already here? Would they be excited for my arrival?' Whatever it may be, it didn't stop her from turning the bronze-colored doorknob and opening the door. "It can't be helped."
{ ♫ } — Well.
Just a few days ago, he had been bored out of his mind in the Crypton household, but now he was in front of a mansion - one that was ridiculously big, he thought to himself - and hesitantly creeping towards the door.
The most he could remember was a letter arriving in the mailbox outside of his past residence advertising something about a new mansion for 'loids of all sorts... really, the offer seemed somewhat shady since it never gave any names as to who was running the whole thing, but whatever. Being cooped up in a house with the same people for... what, six or seven years? Yeah, that was kind of boring.
A new place with new people sounded a bit more scary than refreshing to him, honestly. Audible swallowing rung throuh his head for several seconds as one hand clutched the somewhat light suitcase filled with his belongings while another brought itself to the golden doorknob, which had displayed the quivery hand in it's small but visible reflection. His mind instantly brought to his attention that he could just... leave. He could go back home if he really wanted to, but... no. He was here, so what was the point of leaving now, really? A new place with new people. Mikuo was sure that he could convince himself it would be great.
But, he had to admit... ... the bus stop nearby was a bit tempting... ... but that thought was erased as the door opened.
This place looked... okay. — { ♫ }

► : // There in front of him was his destination. The building seemed to loom over him, much larger than what was anticipated. Inside had to be bursting with various individuals afliated with VOCALOID or UTAU in some way, shape, or form. Clenched fists, pursed lips, and a pounding synthetic heart. The more he thought about how apprehensive he was, the more it increased. His bag seemed heavier as his footsteps became more reluctant. Oh no. He wasn't going to back out now. Sora knew he was over-thinking things, contradicting his usual insouciant attitude. What if they hate me? Or what if they think I'm too boring? Please like me.
► : // "...Just knock." He reminded himself, trying to shake away his anxiety. Sora yearned to show his gregarious side, so he decided to pick up the pace. Without hesitation he pressed his fist to the door, hearing a bang resound in his ears as he questioned in the most professional voice he could muster: "Hello? Is anyone there?"
