Jasper.

What he thinks: I bet he would look really good in a dress. He looks like he had the legs for it.. do they wear dresses back in the Free Marches? I suppose it wouldn't be good armour, and it's probably too cold here to wear one.

In fact, it's really cold here. I haven't felt my toes in three hours. That's not a good thing, maybe I should warm them by the fire. How do these people handle all this cold?! Jasper especially, his toes seem fine!

I wonder if he had special boots for it and if he'd let me borrow them, and maybe some of his clothes in general. Just so I know what I need to order for myself.

What he says: "Hey there, Ja-Inquisitor, could we, erm, go to your room and try on some clothes? I'm freezing and think you could help me warm up."

It was very difficult for Jasper to keep his face straight. It wasn't one he personally had heard before but then again he didn't wear socks to bed like Aeric apparently did so perhaps that was the reason. The other man seemed to have an obsession with them but to each their own, he supposed.

"I know." he replied, leaning into it purely for his own amusement "They really should lighten up. And for the record your socks are very sexy. Absolute idiots, the lot of them."

Aeric sat on the corner of Jasper's desk, his shoes left at the door. It was the polite thing to do, but mostly he hadn't wanted to wear boots a moment longer than necessary. His socked feet dangled over the edge as he absently kicked the air while they talked.

Socks had been among Aeric's first ever possessions, and he had come to think of them as a lovely way for a person to express themselves. Today's were green, with leaves embroidered along the sides.

"Thank you. I would have said charming more than sexy, but I am glad you think so." He paused. "And that's good. There are so many customs here, and some of them I find a little bizarre, but these rules about socks and sex are just... it's madness, Jasper. Unless they mean the socks not on my feet, but somewhere else entirely? Now that would be stupid. Why would anyone do that?"

Tarquin glanced over at the old Inquisitor, letting his gaze linger on the man's very plain hairstyle; the sort that half the men in Minrathous probably thought made them look respectable. He kept his eyes there a moment longer before trailing them down to the man's attire, which was… not very Tevene. Not Minrathous either.

Also, he was the fucking Inquisitor.

Even though, back during the Inquisition, Tevinter acted like they didn't give a flying fuck about the troubles of the south, Tarquin wasn't stupid. A man who could amass an army that size, take on whatever nightmare was happening down there, and live to tell the tale? Yeah, he knew the Inquisitor's face.

"Yeah, definitely the fucking hair," he said dryly, the corner of his mouth twitching upward. "Nothing else about you really stands out. Might need a haircut to blend in better."

"Well, I do blink. Don't know what sort of paranoid fuckers you deal with, but I try to be subtle about it. So, head down and let's continue pretending to be really fucking interested in this…" He paused, glancing at the stall to see what exactly they were meant to care about. "Parchment? Fuck it. Well, might get some for the library anyway."

Of course Tarquin knew he was talking to the Inquisitor, the Herald of Andraste, and so on. But for the sake of their safety, it was best the Venatori had no idea they were meeting. Better to make Jasper look like just another visitor, someone passing through the bustle of Minrathous and looking to spend their coin. The only target he should be is by pickpocketers.

"Fuck it. Get some ink while I'm here. Then, when people are bored of watching you, we'll go somewhere safe to talk."
