I just wanna say that this card is wholesome, a lil angsty, and spoicy… he did say that he might never come back and that just hurts me, but it makes sense considering his work field having to travel to the tunnel and deal with wanderers, not being able to contact mc while he’s at it..

And the fact that everytime after he finished a mission, exhausted and all. He still shaves and try to look good for mc is so cute. I am happy that he is more open to mc now in this card, it shows that the relationship progresses

It wasn’t the first time that Theo and Kira had been assigned to work together on a mission after Theo was released from the Skinwalkers’ prison and Kira returned to the pack in Beacon Hills. It happened three other times, by Scott’s choice, and each time was different.

Kira was initially surprised by Theo’s closeness to Scott and the pack, after everything that happened before she left, the last thing she expected was to run into Theo and Scott falling in love. Kira knew about their history and could feel Theo’s obsession with Scott in the past, and Scott’s affection in the present, but considering his betrayal... seeing him with Scott was quite shocking for her. It was with each whispered interaction, simple touches and furtive glances at pack meetings that Kira became accustomed to Theo’s presence. She was actually happy to have him around. Scott was happy. He was family now.

Theo, on the other hand, was meek and fearful; After all, his last memory of Kira was the girl sticking her katana into the smooth, slippery floor of the sewers, saying that his sister had a message for him. And in the blink of an eye, the ground began to split in half, and from a hole, his dead sister emerged to swallow him like a shark in the ocean. And his hell began.

His post-mortem sentence.

What if Kira convinced Scott to send him back to Tara? His heart—well, Tara’s heart—became an uncontrollable mess of fear and anxiety, perhaps he had panic attacks? It had been so long since Theo had one of these that he had forgotten what it felt like. What it was like to not be able to breathe. What it was like grabbing his chest so hard that his human nails left marks on his skin. It was Tara’s heart, but fuck it, he was selfish. He wanted that heart. Theo wanted that life, that second chance, even if it was cursed, at least now he had the freedom that he lost all those years ago. He could try to do something good with Tara’s heart beating in his chest this time. Make her proud, perhaps?

Kira wasn’t angry or disappointed in anyone, she trusted Scott, she trusted her friends. Had she been surprised to see Theo again given her last memory of him? Yes. Yet Kira saw him—she understood him. The Dread Doctors did something to her, too. Kira lost control of herself and her powers, her fox stole them. She lost herself. Theo was their creation, since he was a child, he never had control over himself. He only thought he had. The Dread Doctors made him a puppet. What Theo had done hadn’t been right, but what Kira had done was? The boy sitting next to her may have been a murderer once, but he was also just a boy trying to survive the horrors of the supernatural life he had chosen so many years ago. The life in which he thought he could solve all his problems, but like all things, it had its price. Now… now he was paying.

Kira knew that her sword, now repaired, adorning her skirt disguised as a sparkling belt, made Theo nervous. She didn’t need to read chemical signals to identify his discomfort. Theo never looked at her side of the car, his hand would sometimes go up to the steering wheel, sometimes squeeze his knee, and he would only say what was necessary—which, most of the time, was nothing. It was interesting, actually. So different from the Theo she once knew; quite tragic, too.

It was at these moments that Kira felt worse. When she thought more than she should, she analyzed more than she should. Scott assured that it hadn’t been a real death—and it was true, in part, Kira never stabbed Theo with her katana, but Kira knew where she was sending Theo, and that was responsibility enough—but even Scott didn’t seem to believe his words. Theo’s life for the safety of her friends. That was the deal. It was for a good cause, wasn’t it? Perhaps this supernatural life was too distorted for a question like that.

Kira cleared her throat. Theo adjusted himself in his seat, the hands lost in the air, as if he didn’t know what to do with them. She wanted to comfort him, but she didn’t know how; their situation was very delicate.

“I, uh…,” Kira began, her voice uncertain; but she was determined to start this conversation even with embarrassment. “I never apologized.”

Theo finally turned around, confusion washing over his face, his emerald eyes shining with a flash of surprise. But he didn’t say anything. He seemed to understand what Kira was asking even without much explanation, but he chose silence. What else could he say?

“You’re not going back, Theo,” Kira said, looking straight into his eyes. Theo would read her heartbeat, he would understand. “You’ll never come back.”

Kira watched Theo’s features relax. He just stood there, looking at her for a moment, still silent, as if waiting for some confirmation that this was real. Kira provided him with that, nodding in his direction with a sincere, shy smile. Theo nodded back with the same smile. No words.

But they didn’t need to talk. Theo was more relaxed in his seat, his hands no longer frantic. The embarrassment wasn’t completely over, but Theo seemed better, and Kira couldn’t lie, her heart and mind were also lighter. That way they could both go through the night more comfortably.

Chapter Title:  When push comes to shove, spider demons shove really hard

Summary:

 The next day brings about all the normality's you've grown accustomed to during your time in Megapolis - except for the spider demon parading around the apartment and making breakfast.  Unfortunately, you have plans, and you're still unsure whether you can trust Syntax yet or not.  Vice versa.  In fact, you accidentally slipped up in front of Syntax, and now he has a whole new reason to suspect you.  But hopefully you can make it up to him with dinner.  Why you feel the need to is beyond you, honestly.

One thing I've noticed with Kate and Lucy is that some people think they're moving really fast? Maybe it's because the hiatus is playing a factor with my thinking, but I think it's been months.

I know that when Lucy tells Ernie she says:

"It's been a few weeks. On and off, mostly off. And always frustrating."

I know I'm probably wrong here, but I choose to see it as Lucy saying she's been seeing Kate for a few weeks This Time. That she's been seeing Kate longer, but that had been on and off. Again, I know I'm probably wrong, but that's how I'm choosing to interpret it???

Because then a lot of the growth makes sense. Like Kate has been trying, but it took her a while to work up to being okay with being seen in the open with Lucy, because she's decided that Lucy is worth it. Like I think she's always thought Lucy was worth it, but it took her time to get to the point where she could make that voice in the back of her head go quiet, to work on her nerves, that sort of thing.

Going a little backwards here, I think after the meeting in the parking lot, Lucy was happy that they were going to make a real try at a relationship, but after weeks of Kate not even being able to look at her when she visits NCIS, she was really tired of it. So tired of it, she was willing to vent about it to Ernie.

Side Note: I'm waiting for Lucy to realize (or Kate to say) that the reason she didn't look at her at work was because Lucy is fucking distracting for her. Lucy's smile, brown eyes, quick wit, and teasing, just one of those things is distracting, but altogether and aimed at her? At work Kate needs to focus.

Then Lucy would be like: "I'm sorry. (and Lucy being Lucy, she'll be sincere about that). I can try better not to be?"

Kate will give her a soft smile and be like: "You can't help it and it's one of the things I like about you."

ANYWAY, (I always distract myself with these two) I think that their whole on and off thing went on for a while but maybe they've been this serious thing (since the parking lot) for maybe a moth and a half or two months now??? That's just my take.

Because otherwise I'd have to agree, they're going kind of fast, and that usually only ends up in a wreck that takes forever to fix on these shows.... So, yeah. I couldn't handle that.

Lost earring au - Kaganette online relationship development

Dark Owl (afterneath) — Kagami finds an earring, commumication through Tikki. Tikki recognizes Kagami as Tomoe Gozen's descendant and convinces Mari to give it a try.

Gigantitan - Capitan Hardrock — trying to build the trust, but Kagami is an awkward child and progress seems really slow.

Frightingale - Mayura — The trouble Marinette went through because of Clara's music video managed to break the ice and their texting became more casual. They slowly start to form an actual Internet Friendship and they even had a talk about boys before and after Frozer. Kagami harshly reprimemeds Chat whenever she finds out how pushy he is towards Marinette.

Chameleon - Silencer — after hearing what Lila did to Mari (she kinda had a mental breakdown over texts) Kagami starts being really protective of her and starts suspecting her identity just a little bit.

Oni-chan - Kwami buster — Kagami throws the earring away before getting akumatized. Marinette learns her identiy and Kagami accepts the fact that she'll never become Ladybird ever again. One night though Marinette comes to her house and they have a long talk, which ends up with them bonding even closer and Marinette giving Kagami one earring back. Kagami can finally be sure that their affection and trust isn't one-sided.

Feast — Kagami joins the chase after Master Fu instead of Félix (he's cursed so his ring couldn't be taken away).

Ikari Gozen — Marinette trusts Kagami more and isn't about to ruin the game. Instead of that app Kagami uses everything she learned from online conversations with Mari which works better than in the original episode. They win and spend a great time with Adrien. Possible reveal of Marinette's small crush on Kagami when she panicks, seeing her as her game partner.

Chat Blanc - Kagami's heartbroken and doesn't know if that's because of Adrien.

Loveater - After seeing Marinette with her hair down, Kagami's heart skips a bit. She doesn't know why, only Adrien and Ladybug made her feel like that before. She actually textes LB asking if it's normal to have multiple crushes at the same time (Ladybug, Marinette, Adrien). Marinette admits she feels the same too (Kagami, Adrien, Luka, possibly Félix).
