Christmas Day 🎄 2018
I was out straight until about 745 and I could hear the kids moving around. I knew they wanted to get up already. Ugh.
It just occurred to me did I forget to feed the dog this morning???? Well he ate a lot of treats so he was fine 😂😂
I knew I needed to get ready because Seth was coming over and I wanted to take pics. I wanted to do full makeup with my new lipstick and try my new powder. And I always do full makeup on special occasions now just because it’s good for me to do sometimes and of course pictures lol.
I do some basic makeup and my eye brows. My hair is still up and I leave it that way. I’m still in my pajama pants that I’m now in love with. One of the many things I bought myself while Christmas shopping for others. I text Seth and say we are about to open presents so come over. I also say if you don’t reply soon I will go over there and get him.
He replies he is gonna be over in five minutes. He comes over wearing a silly elf hat and bringing a big ass stocking. I smile and hug him and kiss him and say I’m glad to see him. I’m feeling it’s important to keep him with me.
The kids separate the presents and I give him his bag with like six presents and one for his dog. He gives me a present and one for each of my kids. His gifts are all kinda unique local art. He is big on local art he says and I think hey the stuff I got him was a lot of my photography and I’m local 😂😂. He got me mittens that have the fingers free for texting which I’ve seen and that’s all great but I question how effective that is on keeping your hands warm. They are colorful and very soft. He also got me this glass lady bug pin thing. I told him thank you.
The kids loved their presents even though they were not all that extrordinary or anything. The dog loves to open his presents all by himself and then he starts going crazy trying to open the kids presents too. It’s so funny and Seth can’t believe how the dog opens the presents. He’s cracking up.
After presents I begin to make breakfast. I make eggs, bacon and croissant rolls. We all eat and I make a plate for my grandma. I am gonna take my son there to help her with breakfast and getting ready.
I tell Seth if he would like to come to my parents for dinner. I was like you can just come to dinner I won’t make you sit through all the rest. He’s like “why what do you do have a prayer circle?” I crack up “uh no we’re not even religious.” I just mean how fun is it to sit and watch others open a ridiculous amount of gifts and bullshit a couple hours before dinner. But Seth did want to go and i was surprised but happy. I also thought it was a good idea he was not alone.
He left and I finished bean dip and makeup and then I was ready and he was so we got the dog, my daughter, son, grandma AND Seth into my car along with food, drink, gifts and a walker. Hilariously cramped for them but I drove so I was fine 😂😂. Good thing Seth is small to fit in the back with my kids and the dog.
Everything there went relatively well and my family was nice to Seth and he seemed to genuinely enjoy being there. He helped clean up and he helped my grandma with things. He only had one gift at my parents house and that was a rock my daughter painted for him of the peanuts. He also seemed to enjoy the presents I got him.
For awhile he took a nap on my parents comfortable chair thing and I took that time to go down the street and have a quick smoke sesh with Danila. It was nice to catch up a little.
I came back and Seth was awake and it was dinner time. He ate a lot and my mom packed him so much food to take home. We had to give much away since we are about to leave town.
We were so tired but there was dessert which I didn’t eat and never hardly do. After that we louded up and drove home. We talked for a little while and he said goodnight. I told him I demand cuddling time tomorrow from him. He agreed without much hesitation. I’m about to leave for I’m not even sure how many days. I’m not too worried about him once I’m gone cause work will be back and he will be busy and then he is going to get his new car and visit friends. I am going to be checking in on him much more now. By the time he’s back I will be back.
Before he went home I said “well you seen my crazy family so you no longer have to hide your dad to me.” And he just laughed.
