whenever i would bring one of my interests up to my ex or we would do an activity that i liked together he would get soooo annoyed and frustrated like he had to fuckin sacrifice 5 minutes of his time to listen to me talk about a new fav book of mine

also the only things he ever wanted to talk about were either obscure things i had little knowledge of so he could seem more superior to me or really gross sexual stuff

when i had broke the relationship off i’d told him that he never let me talk about the stuff i wanted to talk about and he was like “wtf!! i always let you talk it’s just cuz ur so quiet and shy that i just talk more than you, that’s all”

my bf makes me really happy and im glad ive gotten so close to him but i can’t help being filled with the sense that im letting him down... that he’s constantly trying to decipher whether he actually likes me or if i’m just an emotional inconvenience for him 

like i know this is stemming from my negative self-image and lack of experience but God if i could just be certain that i wasn’t inconveniencing him.. i wouldn’t feel so guilty whenever he’s around
