Skyrim is unforgiving, and The Reach just as much so. If the bandits and wild life don’t get you, the weather might. Especially at night. Even in The Reach, a traveler might find themselves suffering from the cold if they don’t take the proper action. When the sun sets, the weather can drop well below freezing and even the bold and hungry wolves find somewhere to keep warm.
Sigyn doesn’t find the cold to be much bother, but when you are escorting a young woman and it begins to rain you decide finding shelter before the sun sets is a good idea.
Fort Sungard makes as good a camp as any. She instructs Relisandra to wait under a couple of trees as she clears out the Forsworn outside. A lady like her shouldn’t have to see men cleaved in half and split open to have their guts pour out in the mud. Sigyn must be quite a sight herself when she comes back covered in mud and blood herself.
Regardless of how she looks, she pulls her heavy woven cloak off and drapes it over Relisandra’s head as she hurries her across the courtyard and into the Annex.
“It should be empty in here, but stay close anyway. Watch your feet. There may be traps.”
