There is this huge headcanon that firebenders are harder to burn, which I subscribed to almost immediately (mostly because of the angst potential for zuko lol), but now I've been thinking...
Does that mean the other benders have their own equivalent? I mean, they should. But what would it even be?
Would waterbenders take longer to drown? Be less thirsty? Just able to do without water for longer?
What about earthbenders? What would they have? Take less damage from blunt force treatment? Something to do with landslides or earthquakes? I have no idea!
Airbenders. What about them? Take no fall damage even without bending? Be able to hold their breath longer?
I just find it quite interesting that I've never seen anyone talk about this despite the firebender part being so prevalent in the fandom.
