Look back month challenge day 1: memory

When I was very small, there was a blue haired finger ding at my great grandmother’s house. She eventually came home with me and took up residence in my bookshelf dollhouse. She’d lost her original outfit long before I met her, which meant she didn’t actually function as a finger ding. She was this weird little legless doll wearing a scrap of Terry cloth, and I was always trying to rig up different little wheelchairs for her.

She has a new body now, and clothes that fit her - the sweater also came from my great grandmother’s house. And I have a new finger ding with her original clothes, which means I can actually put my fingers through her tights and walk around with her as intended. And they both remind me of my grandma.
