I'll always remember you as one of the ASTSB authors. It's such a great fic with such a wtf premise that it's pretty much unique and unforgettable

I've always thought of you for Rex/Obi, but when I actually sit down to think of a story I end up thinking about SStSB. Youngling Ahsoka and Exasperated Echo!~~~ "#I was born ready,# she replied with a touch of cockiness that made him want to despair. Gods damned Jedi. I love them working together, and this just nails why. The whole “Why must I be the only sane person around here?” thing while gleefully ignoring they’re both just as bad.

Also that section gave us so much trouble, because we knew the idea we wanted to convey, but then we had to goa’uld it up before wrestling the funny turns of phrase into something coherent, punchy, and hopefully cute - and that was a trial. Worth it in the end, but yeesh.

The scene that I remember the feel of the most vividly is Obi-Wan reacting to Anakin entering the solar system while Obi-Wan was talking eith the SG-1 crew

We had that scene written up for so long it was both painful and a useful nudge - “C’mon, self, write more, because once you get through THIS bit you can get to the fun stuff!”

(and then the plot would expand and we’d have like, 5 more scenes we had to deal with first, MULTIPLE TIMES)

And I’ll admit, I was so deep into the writing process it honestly never occurred to me that people would think there was dimension hopping, as compared to wider travel beyond known areas - so it was a shock when commenters started saying things about how they worried about the matter. I mean, it was totally logical, but wow, talk about a funny blind spot.

(Meanwhile, sometimes I did - and still do - just go and reread

=Obi-Wan Kenobi, so help me if you’re playing dead again by the Force I am going to haul you right out of 17 and shove you in a jar until you swear to me no more life-risking shit for a least a damn week!=

and cackle to myself for awhile.)
