I'm sorry to the lives lost without evidence, footage, and justice. Im sorry to those killed that I did not name. I'm sorry to the lost that wont be rememebered in relation to the crimes committed against them, as there was no evidence and/or no witnesses. I'm sorry for the souls whose murders haven't been spoken about correctly- because do not doubt that they were murders.

I'm sorry being black is a death sentence that you did nothing to deserve beyond exist.

I'm sorry and I'm angry and nothing we say it will never be enough. Nothing will but we can start by stopping this violence these murders, these crimes.

A Mother is A Mother as Soon As She Conceives This morning I want to draw our attention to Mothers. When a mother loses a child - through miscarriage or stillbirth - or when a mother plays a role in terminating the life of her own child through abortion - we often refer to them as "a woman", or whisper about them as "that woman". "That woman lost her baby", "that woman aborted her child" and so on. But just as a baby is a baby from conception, a mother is a mother as soon as she conceives. If we valued motherhood more it would be easier when a baby is lost because our loss would be validated. If we valued motherhood more it would also be harder to play a role in the termination of one's own child.
