· · · Kibum flopped down on the couch, eyelids drifting shut as a long sigh escaped from his lips. His limbs ached with the time spent standing before hundreds of people waiting in line for some free food. After his last scandal, LJ Entertainment’s CEO hadn’t been joking when he said Kibum would pay for his recklessness working so hard all he had on mind when going back home would be sleeping right away.
“Even my face hurts for smiling so much,” he muttered to himself, hands rubbing the tiredness away from his eyes.
Hazel eyes flicked to the forgotten phone on the center table before him. In all truth, he was exhausted, but still restless. The particular itch to fall in old habits was there, tingling in his fingertips, sending prickles down his spine, lingering as a heavy thought at the back of his mind. But he had made a promise.
The singer opened his eyes and reached for his phone. There were several messages with invitations and people asking where he was, if he would drop by at their parties today; he scrolled past most of the texts with disinterest until one past chat caught his attention.
A small smile danced across his features as he opened it as he got more comfortable leaning against the back of the couch.
