Remixed Water - Ned Sublette & Lawrence Weiner

The CD Remixed Water is a collection of songs remixed from two of avant-garde musician Ned Sublette and conceptual artist Lawrence Weiner’s collaborative albums, Ships at Sea, Sailors and Shoes (1993) and Monsters From the Deep (1997). The tracks are reconfigured by selected contemporary artists, who ‘update’ the original compositions by placing them in the context of the then current (2005) musical soundtrack of the urban environment, casting Weiner’s two-step lyrical style into an anarchy of chance musical pairings.
