December 26, 2025 - Sennar Penduline-Tit (Anthoscopus punctifrons) Found in parts of Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Chad, Eritrea, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, South Sudan, and Sudan, these penduline-tits live in grasslands, savannas, wetlands, and forests. Though the details of their diet are unknown, they forage in acacia trees, usually in groups of three and are thought to feed on insects. While little is known about their nesting habits, they likely breed between February and September, depending on the area of their range and build hanging pouch-shaped nests.
