First and second year, it was pretty clear that the two closest students were Kiara Gallagher and Maxx DuPont. The two were inseparable, despite being in different houses: constantly getting each other in and out of trouble, sneaking into each others dorms to sleep in the others bed - at the end of second year, they even picked their subjects so that they would share most classes. Third year, everything changed. The rumour mill says Maxx asked Kiara out - it was about time, really - and she said no, and it was just too awkward for the two to remain friends after that.
