Assalamu alaykoum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatu, this morning I walked downstairs into the living room and my father was praying differently than how he normally did for 50 years or more. I saw the position of his hands and instead of holding them under his heart, the hands were below the belly button. I believe my father has converted from being a Shafi'i into a Hanafi, what should I do? Is he going to hell? I'm really worried for him, this is not like him at all. JazakAllah khayr.
We need to abandon these ways of thinking, shafi'is and hanafis are brothers and we should be united. islam alows fot differences of opinion so inshaAllah there is no problem, Allah is Al-Ghafur Ar-Raheem
