Synths Render Sound From Your Browser, Remotely
The promise of web 3.0 is just around the corner and we are here waiting for it to take effect. Do you remember what web 1.0 was like? None of us remember that because web 1.0 only existed as a form of communication for military and scientific purposes – there was no real commercial need for it until the ball dropped. Then came AOL, which offered online services that were paid by the minute. It was jarringly slow but it was the best we had. Web 2.0 consisted of only two real things – businesses and pornography. The entire social aspect of blogging and networking was really never around until later on. Web 3.0 promises us one thing, and that is remote access. Instead of having to store and own all of you data here at home, you can access it from wherever you want through some sort of node. Cloud computing brings us one step closer to this concept, although it hasn’t really been implement with any useful software. Synth developers have gotten aboard this ship in search of ways to bring synthesizers to the masses without actually having to own one of these expensive machines. The concept is far from simple, but the result will be pleasing. http://createdigitalmusic.com/2013/06/web-connected-analog-synths-render-sound-from-your-browser-remotely/
