So, before you go out in search of a new rug, you should first attempt to remove the stain. With the right technique and a little bit of patience, even the most stubborn stains can be removed; here's how you do it:
Soap and Water
Sometimes all it takes to remove a stain from your braided rug is a little bit of soap and water. If you haven't done so already, try blotting the stain up with wet washcloth and small amount of mild dish soap. The secret to removing stains from a rug is to blot it. Don't rub the stain into the rug, as this will only make it worse. Instead, blot it up by pressing the washcloth down and raising it back up. Continue doing this throughout the stain and it should come up.
Vinegar
Vinegar literally has hundreds of different uses, one of which is to remove stains. The high acidic content of vinegar makes it highly valuable as a stain remover. Using the same blotting technique as before, try using vinegar to pull out the stains from your braided rug. I recommend spraying the stained portion of your rug and allowing it to sit for a couple minutes first. Once the vinegar has soaked into the fibers, take a dry, clean washcloth and blot up the affected area. You should see both the vinegar and stain slowly pulling out of the braided rug. Continue this process until the stain is completely removed. When you are finished, go back over the area with water to remove any excess vinegar.
Baby Wipes
Would you have guessed that baby wipes can pull stains out of baby rugs? While some stains may prove to be too much for them, baby wipes can typically remove minor stains with ease. You see, baby wipes are basically paper towels soaked with water and delicate soap; therefore, they work in the same manner as the technique first mentioned here.
