Windows 10 is soon going to release on July 29. With its date of release, most of us are focusing on the new features that are going to be introduced by Windows 10.
But, there are some features that are removed by Microsoft from the latest version. Although some of these removals are acceptable, but some other features still have loyal users.In this article, we will take a look at these features that are no more in Microsoft Windows 10.
1. No Windows Media Center: Microsoft has dropped Windows Media Center from Windows 10. In place of WMC; Microsoft has introduced XBMC, which is also known as Kodi.
2. No DVD Playback: According to Microsoft, DVD playback will require separate playback software. It’s also true that Microsoft doesn’t readily supply the “separate playback software”, but there are plenty of third party software packs that have full featured players.
3. No Desktop Gadget: If you are going to upgrade directly from Windows 7 to 10, then your Desktop gadgets won’t have a place on the desktop. Microsoft already removed them in Windows 8 and this will remain same for Windows 10. If you still want them on your desktop then you will have to download it.
4. No Floppy Drive Support: Microsoft Windows 10 will no more support Floppy drive in your PC. But if you want to use it on Windows 10 then you’ll have to download the latest driver from Windows Update or the manufacturer’s website.
5. No Pre- installed Solitaire, Minesweeper and Hearts Games: If you upgrade from Windows 7, your preinstalled games will be “removed”. But not to worry as you can download official Microsoft version of Solitaire and Minesweeper from Microsoft App store.
