How to make a quick selection
Hello,
In this tutorial I will be showing you how I have learnt how to make a quick selection.
This can be useful if you want to move an image or object on top of another image like a background.
1.) Open the chosen object image in Photoshop CS5
2.) Create a new layer
3.) Selection the quick selection tool (just under the colour pallets. )
4.) Use the brush tool to paint the figures. Black means a plus (a selection) white means a minus (no selection).
5.) Once finished deselect quick selection tool. Crawling ants will appear around your selection.
6.) Go to select – inverse.
7.) Open new background image
8.) Edit copy and paste. (If this does not work make sure that all layers are selected, it may say no area selected, this is just because it thinks the new layer you made your selection on has nothing on it so just go to all layers and select)
9.) Once your image is on the background layer go to edit-transform- scale and hold the shift button down whilst scaling (this will help you maintain the correct shape so the image doesn’t get distorted)
10.)All you need to do is adjust the hue and saturation and variations to make the object fit in with the lighting of the background.
Images I have used for this tutorial are not mine below are the links to the images I have used.
