A volleyball team? More like managing a ring of crackhead little foxes
The second you were offered the position, the team imprinted you as their second team-parent basically kita’s second in command
You’ve learned pretty quickly about what each player needs, and were able to sync into the lifestyle after like two weeks
You became their pillar of sanity
You helped them lock in their focus whenever a match came up
You always had their favorite snacks on deck, making sure to keep their eating habits in check
Not only that, but you were able to help them balance both volleyball and schoolwork
In turn, they would help you at any signs of distress; you were their angel, and treated you like nothing less
You and Kita were always in tune with one another, keeping the team in line and communicating both on and off the court
Aran was the one to check up on you, while you were busy checking on everyone else. He’s saved you so many times, from an extra caffeine boost to reminding you to do your hw
Whenever there was free time during practices, Suna would explain to you what was going on, so you would be able to understand the flow of the game better

The constantly vied for your attention
Osamu: “I made you some of that Dango we had last week <3 ”
Atsumu: “Wtf are ya tryna to do, poison them? Here ya go angelface , I bought you some onigiri <3 ”
They were definitely the ones you had to keep extra watch on
Although they were like two toddlers you had to babysit, they were your protectors outside of the court
One reason: fangirls
Their team is pretty prestigious, so there’s no doubt that some of their fans have come gunning for you various times
This has managed to scare away precious managers, but the team was in awe that you didn’t let the hate get to you
If anything, it ignited you to do better, and they loved you for that
But still, they like to be aware of you while at matches/tournaments
They have a system of taking turns to be your buddy for that day, so that you wouldn’t get lost
But then again, there’s flaws in every system
For example:
It was Atsumu’s turn that day.
Need I explain?
Kita: “Atsumu, where’s Y/N? Our match is in like 10 minutes, we’re gonna warm up soon.”
Atsumu:
The team: 👀
Atsumu: “Suna, I thought it was your turn!”
The team: “oh fuck not again”
They do have a divide-and-conquer plan to use whenever you’re lost, so they usually find you within a couple minutes
But those two minutes are the most frightful of their lives
They’ve learned to depend on you so much, what would they do without you?
You give them your usual pep talk before the game, not to ignite their inner fire, but just to fan the flames
No matter if they win or lose, they’re still unconditionally grateful to be able to walk off the court to see your smile again
