A little photo tour of our washing. Often we clean a number of rugs at one time in this case 4 rugs. As we work through the various spots soils the lighter soiled rugs clean faster giving the dirtiest rugs the longest to soak. In this case a 1890-1910 Persian Kashan, with lots of old carpet shampoo build up. The shampoo residues overtime attract more soil making the rug look grey and muted hiding its real colors.
