Sky cries out as blood runs thick across dust and ochre

Death strides unchallenged,

Cruel visage, icy stare 

  Thy kingdom come as you go, gun in hand

still smoking

no bloodless prophet

river gambler, no sleep

  No fuel for regret, shaking limbs take to fleeing

Vengeful sons sleep sound

Lullabies soothing

A mask for future ill's

  forsaken names ticked off like nursery rhyme schemes

taught to children well

martyr harvest songs

and abandoned prayer flags

  What somber swansongs lay ahead for ashen faced killers

Karma revisited in silence

Without fanfare

All debts paid, keep the change
