After suffering for years, I finally was able to get a hysterectomy on 12/17/24
I had adenomyosis, which is basically when the uterine cells grow invasively and creative fibroids within the walls of my uterus. I had multiple and the largest one cause my uterus to permanently be the size of a four month old pregnancy, in addition to heavy bleeding and pain during menstruation.
I'm lucky that I found a gyno that actually listened to my concerns and didn't try to convince me to keep my uterus based on some belief that I may want kids or my partner may want them one day.
