[The Aftermath of unforeseen events, and the Ranger’s Resolve...]
Mentions: @its-morphin-time-xiv, It was the following day, The seeker had stayed up all night working through the night fuelled on whiskey, anger, frustration and guilt . Lily had looked over some previously drawn up schematics ones that she had been working on before she had ever gotten her morpher, before she even thought that she could have been a Ranger. She began piecing things together and building her own magitek powered armour that would at least let her fight slightly above the average capacity of what she would be capable of without her morpher. It was no Ranger Armor... But it was better then nothing. The thoughts circling her head, the fight with Belladonna... Seeing one of the people she held in the highest regard, and still considered family, rendered as nothing more then a feral beast currently. The Creator stripping her of her rank, removing her from the team, and banning her from using her Morpher unless it was dire circumstances. Hurting and worrying the people that cared about her.... All the thoughts swirling in her head driving her pushing her forward. She would become stronger, better, smarter. So that this situation wouldn’t happen again, so she wouldn’t hurt or worry those she cared about again. “You can strip me of my rank.... Remove me from the team.... And stop me from using my morpher... But you will not stop me from doing the duty that I swore to uphold the day I received my morpher. I may not be part of the team.. But I am still a Ranger... And I will get Belladonna back!” The sun broke through the Workshop window, the seeker looking up to the sky. Slowly Lily had packed up the armour before making her way to La Noscea. Looking over the cliff towards Limsa Lominsa, She opened up the case holding the pieces of armor. The seeker pulled off her shirt revealing a harness that was hidden beneath her top. One that had multiple small ceruleum powercells attached to it, with what seemed to be a circuit connector on the back of the harness that went from just above the seeker’s tail all the way up to the back of her neck. It also had lines that moved down the sides of her legs, down her arms and up the side of her neck, so to provide power to other places along her body She then moved to pull the core piece of armour over her frame the back of the armour resting against the the connectors. She then pulled on the gloves which at first didn’t seem like much but under close inspection it had, little prongs on the knuckles. And finally she pulled on the boots on, which again didn’t seem like much in at a quick glance. The final piece was a mask with a pair of goggles attached. After finally donning her custom made armour, she looked to a small button that was in the center of her right palm. “Well.... Here’s to hoping it works...” She said before pressing the button. With that, the harness had activated the back of the armour magnetising to the connectors causing power to surge through the armour, What now felt like over one hundred pounds in gear felt only like twenty five. The balled her fists causing the small prongs on the gauntlets to spark clearly releasing an electric charge. The seeker grinned before swinging a few punches in the air, small short range bursts of electricity parking of the gauntlets in response. “That works....” She then lifted her feet hopping in place before kicking off into a sprint, she took off moving at a higher rate then she normally would be able too. All the while not even feeling the ground beneath her feet as she ran. “That works... now for the final test....” Lily had moved her hand up to the collar of the armour pressing a small button, the armour then opening small hatches in the back quickly letting out a hiss as it pushed air and steam out of the armour, a form of ventilation system to keep her cool, the mask as well had the same feature, with an air filter attached. “Seems everything works...” She chuckled. The seeker had looked out to the sky as she grinned. “It might not be Ranger armour... But it’s better then nothing and at least helps me try to keep up with everyone else in the Network.” Lily had sighed before closing her eyes. “I will not make the same mistake twice.... No more foolish decisions of running off on my own, and getting hurt. From now on... I’m done being a lone wolf. I was part of a team I could depend on... and instead I ran off on my own. It was foolish and I will not make the same mistake again a second time, besides.... I have the Network to watch my back as well...” There was a small voice that echoed in the back of her mind. “You may not be able to morph, but I am still here as well and I will be watching your back as well, Little one.” “Thank you, Uttao... I know you told me that going after Bella alone was the wrong choice and I should have listened to you... From now on I won’t be making that mistake a second time. I will heed your advice.” “Good.... Now get out there and do your job, Little one.” Lily had opened her eyes looking to the sky, now having a renewed resolve and still having the same goal. And nothing was going to stop her....
