Mika let himself be guided out to the dance floor, teeth clamped over his tongue. He’d joked to René about wanting to dance, but he hadn’t thought the man would actually offer him to dance. Mika had stared at René outstretched hand, mouth going dry.
“You know how to dance?” Mika found himself asking when one of René’s hand settled on his lower back, the other taking hold of Mika’s right hand.
“I wouldn’t have asked you if I didn’t.” René replied, a hint of a smile on his lips. Mika’s left hand fell onto René shoulder just as the man began to move to the slow tempo of the music. Mika worried his bottom lip as he tried to follow René’s lead, muttering out a curse and an apology when he stepped over the man’s foot.
“Don’t look down at your feet, keep your eyes on me.” René said, bringing Mika closer.
That was easier said than done. Mika wasn’t used to such an intimate act, but he followed René’s instructions and let the soft, languid beats of music flow through him. Mika averted his eyes from René’s the moment he felt as if his heart would jump out of his chest.
“Not so bad, is it?” The words brushed against his ear, and it was then Mika realized how close they were to each other. His first instinct was to run. Instead, Mika leaned just a bit closer to René and nodded in agreement.
That finale broke me & instead of ranting about the bloody shitfest that was & driving you mad I'm gonna send you more tattoo artist René/florist Mika (we need fluff after that bullshit) René first tries to pretend he's unaffected failing at that he starts visiting Mika in an attempt to get on his good side, somehow he manages to bug Mika more every time & rlly what's he a masochist? S obvious the blonde hates him but God he looks pretty when pissed & fuck's sake will Lacus stop laughing already

And oblivious!MIka is great! Just imagine René showing up, acting like he’s looking at the flowers, but what he wants is to go there and ask Mika out so he ends up acting all awkward while trying to not be suspicious. But Mika is so fed up with him, what does he think he’s doing? Mika has clients to deal with, he doesn’t have time for this idiot fooling around in his shop. So he confronts René, but Punk guy is so concentrated on how pretty Mika is he can barely answer him properly~
And yes, Lacus is laughing his ass off in the background lol And he keeps teasing René “well, are you going to do your damn job or just stare at Blondie all day?” he ships it tho <3

No wonder when he gets a job at a flower shop. He's been working there for a while now, they have little cards and lists with flowers and their different colors' meanings and how to fix different types of arrangements, romantic dork has memorized every single one of them. Then, there's Lacus...
Pt. 2 Lacus has been René’s friend ever since their first year at college, you can say they’re best buds. So, Lacus works at a CD store right across the street, in front of René’s shop, and sneaks to meet him every once in a while during lunch breaks and such. It is then a new guy starts working with Lacus. He is cute, but rather quiet and Lacus mentions him to René, saying how he’s been trying to befriend the newbie, but to no avail. René doesn’t pay much attention to it at first...
Pt3 But then he actually sees newbie with his own eyes one of these days. And damn. Blondie is /cute/. Lacus notices René’s interest when the other starts asking about Mika one day and teases him about it, but decides maybe he could give his buddy a hand. After all, it isn’t everyday René actually shows interest in someone...
Pt4 When Mika first accepted his job, he wanted to make it easier for himself and others, limiting his social interactions to clients and his boss, so he avoided his other colleagues, including that Lacus guy. But Lacus turned out to be more persistent than he initially thought, so Mika decided to accept his invitation for lunch, just once, couldn’t hurt, right? And maybe would get Lacus to give him a break...
Pt5 After finally getting Mika to accept his invitation, he brings the blond to René’s shop and introduces the both of them. René is not exactly sure if he wants to thank or kick Lacus. They have a pleasant conversation, Mika asks about the flowers - he likes flowers and finds the one in the shop quite pretty -, much to René’s happiness and when Lacus and him have to go back to work, René tells him to pass by again anytime so he can show Mika some nice arrangements…
Pt6 After that encounter, René finds himself standing by the front of his store, admiring little Mika from afar, who always waves at him when he notices René. And a thing I think would be sooo adorable is whenever they meet, René leaving little flower gifts for Mika, with hidden meanings for the blond to figure out~ Maybe I got a little carried away with this au LOL

First of all, René working at a flower shop is too adorable. I imagine he had a little trouble with the customers at first, they were so used to the bubbly brunette that used to work there before and then they come to find this stoic looking guy that usually wears all black except for the frilly green apron with the shop’s name on it. But, René is so good at his job and him memorizing the entire meanings of the flowers and how if you arrange them in a certain way they get an even deeper meaning is so cute! Him and Mika bonding over flowers, of all things, and gradually growing closer <333333 I LOVE IT
