On top of the Cardou we watch a pair of Griffon Vultures, first below us, then above, rising slowly on the thermals, wheeling higher and higher and off to Bucharach in the distance with barely a wingbeat. A pair of ravens croak, the scimitar shaped Hobby dashes to and fro below.
