i'd like to self study Japanese as well; are there any books or things that really helped you and which you can recommend to get me started? ☺️

The thing that really helped me when I was starting was a program called Human Japanese. I tried the trial version for PC for a month and then bought the iOS app version later. I don’t think it’s too expensive? But it really helped explain things in a friendly matter, so I recommend at least checking it out! It’s not going to get you all the way to an intermediate level, but gives you a great basis so you can move on to other textbooks after finishing it. If you don’t mind spending a little more, there’s also Textfugu. It has a friendly approach to it as well, so I liked it ^^ As for textbooks, Genki is pretty popular and I heard it can work well for self study, although I haven’t used it myself.

most students dont take pictures of studying and most students dont make youtube videos giving study tips online, let alone running a study blog ~ at least im p sure /most/ people dont do this, but there are definitely some who do ✨ also hey thanks for the compliment !!!
