     “You know, I don’t really mind how many and how different all these other elves are -- it’s refreshing, you know?”

     Veros leans against the counter lazily, twirling the olives for his drink in between his fingers. Often times he struck uninvited conversation with anyone that passed by, and the void elf next to him only raised questions for the tipsy mind.

     “But, of all magics, all practices, why -- why go for such a dark force?” Veros asks, sincere in his question. “I mean -- all power to those who want to learn! But, why Void?”

        SHE CALLED THE SHADOWS FRIEND, and in-amongst the twisting labyrinth of Dalaran’s sewers, where the measure of a man was not of his title, but of his character, Tess found peace in the chaos. Champion of the Uncrowned suited her better than princess of a broken nation, and thus she held no fear when the familiarity of shadow did grace her presence; even with their constant whispers.

          ❝ Ren’dorei, hm? ❞ She spoke, forsaking a greeting in lieu of a playful chide aimed at his people’s inability to settle on a consistent name. ❝ From blood to void -- you shall find no hostility from me here, though I question what sudden lucidity did possess my father to allow what he would consider prey into the gates of Stormwind. ❞ Perhaps the boy-king had grown in his mane? Gods, she could hope.

          There was a pause; a curl of her tongue. Tess allowed herself to linger in the silence, if only to gather her voice before she spoke once again. ❝ I am sorry for your sudden ejection from your birth home -- this we share in common. ❞

"It's not very polite to stare, you know. Lucky for you, I'm not very polite myself."

     Veros blinks for a moment, realizing that yes, he had been staring. He presses a hand to his forehead, chuckling a little.

     “Ah, my apologies! I oft tend to daydream,” He offers a smile, leaning heavily on his arm on the counter for balance. “Though I won’t lie, I wasn’t aware the sin’dorei also came in... blue.”
