I don't know if this has been asked before, or if you mentioned it sometime before I discovered you.

What are your Sam headcannons?

It could be anything I'm always curious about how people always interpret their version of Sam 😆

SQUEEE I've only mentioned them on twitter and to my friends so I'm super excited you asked!!! (always thinks about Sam)

I have lots of favorites but here's some I frequently refer to:

Sam doesn't swear like a sailor, but he does swear. He's gotten used to censoring himself for Vincent that he'll frequently replace them with variants like "fudge", "friggin", "'effin", "butt" etc. It usually leads to his friends giggling because of how ridiculous he sounds

In my own personal selfship lore, in Y1 he's 22 and his bday is August 17th (Leo).

He has naturally brown hair like his mom (and dad), but like his dad he bleaches it blonde. It's why I draw his hair looking very "crumpled" and it's entirely from DIY damaging haha

Sam has a somewhat terrible sense of personal space, but it's completely unintentional. He's very tactile; he just has to keep his hands busy and that means he can be very grabby/fidgety with objects or pulling his friends around places (literally). This also manifests as standing too close to people without realizing it, so Sebastian and Abigail have to continuously take steps back while standing and talking to him because he keeps subconsciously stepping closer. It doesn't mean he can't respect personal space and boundaries- he can if you tell him! It's just that he gets carried away easily by his thoughts and monologue <3

Edited in HC: I also think he has ADHD and dyslexia! It reflects in his interactions and, in writing, he writes in all capitals because it's easier for him to read back :)

He has a minor case of hearing loss because he loves to blast music in headphones + earbuds. This leads to him talking a little louder than most, and when he whispers it's not even that quiet. It's why his door isn't locked and his mom doesn't knock sometimes- Sam straight up will miss her knocking/calling for him if he's playing music too loud.

He frequently goes "can I borrow that" or "can I see that" to someone's stuff, but it's not even a question because he's already reaching for it. This HC is a callback to him being tactile + ADHD brained: he borrows some of Sebastian's comics and forgets to return it- or more accurately, he forgets to finish reading and Seb has to come over and tell him to finish so it can be returned.

I lump that Chronic Borrower headcanon into another one where Sam has a fairly average build with some tummy, but he has nicely strong arms and legs from just being active around town (re: he could pick up Penny as mentioned in her 8 heart event). I like to think he asks Alex if he could borrow some dumbbells and he's put off returning them to him purely because he says "No I'm using them!" and works out like once or twice a week LOL

yeha i drew it!!! i didn't realize there was a sprite creator online so i just made it myself, but sdv!ren has an entire spritesheet... so i'm glad i brute forced it myself lolol

i started off by making a base "faceless" sprite, drawing all of the expressions in an individual layer, then duplicating the faceless to merge into an expression. that way i didnt have to make a bazillion sprites every time x)))
