its a long day drive from bangkok to siem reap in cambodia, approx 8-9 hours including border crossing (4 hours to the thai-cambodia border at poi pet) and a lunch stop

siem repa is the gateway to angkor and we have 2 full days to enjoy this small but burgeoning cambdoian town and its surrounds, upon arrival the group leader will take you to the orientation walk around the centre of siem reap, introducing you to the various markets and points of interest. as your schedule here is completely up to you, you may choose to spend most of the time exploring the angkor complex nearby and ski pack into town only for a meal and some nightlife.
entry fees to the angkor complex are US20$ for a 1 day pass , a remark for a day around the ruins should be around US15 per vehicle you can bargain the price with the the driver or more if you want to visit the remote temples
be tempted and explore the surrounds of siem reap with a visit to the very scenic floating village near tonle sap, while here include a visit to the gecko environment centre , which is designed to help manage and sustain this fragile area. the local markets in siem reap, are a great place to shop or to try some delicious, cheap street food and in the evening several restaurants around town offer tradition khmer cultural performances. some of these shows include a buffet dinner
