My Tour Experience (Long Post)
I will forever love my first concert experience, but let me say that it wasn’t exactly the greatest experience. From having beer spilled all over my merchandise to witnessing two separate parties get loft 89 right in front of me on two different occasions. I didn’t dance or move a lot because I am extremely self-conscious. I missed Shawn and Vance’s performances because I was in a huge line for the Taylor Nation booth at the time. My first concert experience I didn’t take it all in enough.
This time around I really wanted to enjoy every second of the night. I was fortunate enough to get floor seats and the moment I walked into the stadium I couldn’t believe how close everything was! I made sure to get all my merchandise and food as fast as I could and go straight to my seat. From there I sat and talked with my boyfriend before Charli’s set. Before she started I spotted from far away a crowd and noticed it was none other than Paul Sidoti! I didn’t want to go into the crowd because I felt nervous and that I would be a bother, however my boyfriend convinced me that its alright and that I should go get an autograph and picture. Sure enough, Paul was very sweet and attended everyone. I got a picture with him and he signed my tour poster (you can faintly see it next to the snake head). At this point I already had tears in my eyes and felt silly for getting emotional. We went back to our seats and I was now extremely excited for the show to start. When Charli came out I was really excited! I love her! She doesn’t get enough credit for what a fun and energetic performer she is.
The entire show was amazing. I have to admit I feel guilty because I didn’t dance a whole lot. I would occasionally jump around and move my body, but I was still really shy and scared of being judged. I never expected to get noticed by TN or anyone because I don’t stand out. I have accepted that I am just too scared to dance. But I still sang my heart out with a smile on my face. When Taylor came out in her cotton candy dress I looked at my boyfriend and yelled, “Thats the dress I wanted her to wear!” I will never forget that for Delicate and the acoustic sets he put his arms around me and we just swayed together to the music. Speaking of the the acoustic sets...Wonderland. When I figured out it was going to be Wonderland my eyes filled up with water. I didnt start to cry until I looked at my boyfriend and said, “This is my favorite from 1989″. Wonderland has such a personal meaning for me, also whenever I hear the melody I instantly have 1989 nostalgia.
I havent even mentioned how beautiful Taylor is! Even though my seats were not directly in front of a stage I could still see how pretty she is. When she was at the second B stage is where I could really see her well. She looked as if she was glowing and always had a smile on when she was performing. You can really tell she is having the time of her life on this tour! She also went right above me during Bad Blood. Taylor flying over me in a snake skeleton is probably the closet I will ever be to her, but it was so worth it and enough for me! Also...her vocals! SHE KILLED EVERY PERFORMANCE. I will say that the best performance that gave me chills was Don’t Blame Me. The text posts about Don’t Blame Me being a surreal experience are not kidding. That was the most impressive performance of the night for me. The entire essence from that performance was perfect! The performance that came right after was Long Live/New Years Day and that was another emotional one for me. Speak Now was the era that made me a swiftie, so Long Live on the piano is too much for my heart to handle. When Taylor took a pause to look at the crowd and everyone cheered was another favorite moment of mine.
This was the most incredible experience. The intimate performances with Taylor were my favorites. I didn’t dance like the others around me, but maybe one day I can overcome that fear. And not dancing didn’t stop me from singing my heart out. I still stood in awe at every moment of this show. I am happy that I let every single moment sink in. The memories from this show are ones that I will not forget.
Thank you @taylorswift for putting on such a beautiful show
