Christmas Eve/Christmas 2015

1. The best things that happened these past two days are not what people normally think is a good time. This is almost a different category under priceless, irreplaceable times. As a family, we opened presents in the morning, I made breakfast, and then we watched home videos. That was the best time of this holiday because surrounding it is this hazy glow of nostalgia tinged with a happiness for where I am. I love being snuggled up with my favorite people in the world, participating in our own celebration of Christmas. It just makes me happy, all of us in a world of our own. I’m glad that we have tradition and that it hasn’t changed very much so far. I hope it stays that way. My favorite private moment was watching the end of “The Family Stone”. My favorite part is when Susanna is watching “Meet Me in St. Louis” because it’s exactly something I would do. I pretty much did, watching it all alone on Christmas, late at night. I love that though. I get that special magical feeling in my heart that lets me know what I’m doing is right and good and memorable. I can feel the tug on my heart when this happens and I think it’s just the magic of Christmas. It was a good Christmas, filled with laughter and holiday cheer. I can’t wait for the next time we eat at Yin-Yins with the boys and get all dressed up for the Christmas Eve service. It’s so fun on the holidays to get all dolled up and feel pretty. But yes, it was a very nice Christmas, one of the best. Merry Christmas 😊🎄
