" ari didn't like getting her hands dirty if she didn't have to . more of a clean type , her manicured hands were still skilled enough to handle a blade , though hated the feeling of the blood crusting on her manicured nails and drying on the jewelry on her wrist .

her intent hadn't even been to kill . it was supposed to be a casual conversation , perhaps a possible intent on striking a deal , but clearly it hadn't worked out the way she'd wanted . now a dead body lay on the ground next to where she sat and left ari looking bored , and slightly irritated .

ari looked at them from their feet up , taking in their choice of attire and focused specifically on their jewelry . different from hers , but unique -- it made her grin without it looking malicious . " that's nice , " she complimented , meaning it to be genuine however her tone always felt like there was something hidden behind it . " family antique ? or find it as a nice thrift from a store ? for all the chaos he'd caused since he'd suddenly appeared in her life , all the times she'd felt genuine fear for her family's business , he'd seemed to take pleasure watching ari start to fall . there had to be a ulterior motive behind all of it and she couldn't figure it out -- just by associating , it was putting dowon at risk , and that was putting ari on high alert for something she wouldn't usually give a second thought . if it meant protecting the person she loved , she'd do whatever it would take .

" what is it that you're after ? it's pointless trying to bring us down from the inside , you know it's impossible to take down the entire family . you might know my weakness , then you should also know i'd do anything to protect the people i care about . " @sovrumana

"It's not bad." Ari was hiding the heat in her belly. She hadn't expected Sage to pass over a hand drawn picture of her while she'd been talking, too consumed in the conversation to realize they'd been sketching. This was why she liked them. They really took the time to notice her.

"You don't have to do this, you know," she pointed out, holding up the paper. "Really. You know I like spending time with you regardless of your talent. You're one of the people who actually see me for who I am." @sorrymcm

He seems sweet.

She didn't take the time to enjoy little parts of life like that. Just laying on the grass soaking in the sun; watching the water, listen out for birds and take in the moment when her mind was running from one operation to the next. He looked so comfortable and happy that it was infectious, Ari pausing her two guards walking steadily behind her with a hand to their chest.

"Wait here...don't follow," she said, leaving them by the car so she could step in the soft grass with her expensive heels, no doubt leaving holes in the ground behind her, and approaching the younger man with a deceptively softer smile for someone who wasn't used to it.

"You look so comfortable there. Mind if I join you?"

"Are we expecting someone else?" Ari wasn't in much of a mood for conversation or company. She'd slept terribly after a rough night, too many troubles, and it showed by her lack of attempts of presenting herself. Still, sat in her expensive lounge clothes and luxury purse, but face makeup free. "I'd prefer if we made this quick. I have another appointment later." A lie, but they didn't need to know." @scftlightz

Ari watched the ash from his cigarette fall on the already filthy floor. The ashtray next to him didn't look in any better shape, her freshly manicured hands neatly sitting on top of her dress and refusing to touch anything in that cramped kitchen. While her guards started to subtly threaten Dohyun for his words, she smirked, knowingly tilting her head and brushing them off so they could continue to clean up the mess he'd made. Well, the mess they were both supposed to make.

"No, I don't like getting dirty. I usually stick to running the operations from the outside, but thought it might be good to see this one in person. The hit was a rat to the gang, I can promise you, I'm not lazy." She reached in to her purse and pulled out a thick envelope of cash, holding it up, but not handing it over yet. "You know who hired you for the job? I wanted to see him dead with my own eyes."

"Oh, this little thing? A week, already getting a little bored of it, honestly," she pouted, matching his spoiled energy well as she held up her purse with a single finger, letting it dangle off and risk it dropping at any point. She intentionally slid it down, letting it fall, though she caught it with a single hand and straightened up while holding Subin's gaze the whole time; dangerous eyes lingered as she grinned, then took a step ahead of him.

"Don't you plan on inheriting the hotel one day, or do you plan on living with your parents money the rest of your life?" she asked. "I'm inheriting something myself, one day -- it's why I was dragged along--" Actually, the whole thing was her idea, but she was still learning how these operations worked. Her father stepped in to help. "We might be doing business together one day. We should be friendly with each other, after all, we are the same age."
